faq-icon How do I merge multiple PDF files into a single file?

To merge PDFs into one PDF file using Systweak PDF Editor, follow the steps below:
  • Launch Systweak PDF Editor and click the Merge PDF box on the home page. faq
  • In the new Merge PDF window, drag and drop files or click the Add Files button to import the PDF files or Add Folder to add a folder with PDF files. faq
    💡 Tip: If you want to avoid merging protected files, check the box next to “Skip protected files.”

  • Select the PDF files you want to import and merge. Click Open after selecting the files. faq
  • Systweak PDF Editor will show you details of added PDFs. faq
  • If you don’t want to merge the complete PDF, select the page numbers. Click the arrow next to All under Page Number. Specify the number of page numbers you want to merge. faq
  • After making all the changes, to proceed, click the Merge option.
  • When prompted, give a name to the file for each identification. faq
  • Wait for the process to finish. faq
  • Once done if you have unchecked the option “Open the PDF document after creation, “ the merged PDF will be opened in Systweak PDF Editor.
  • Alternatively, if you are using Systweak PDF Editor, you can merge files by clicking the Tools menu > Merge PDF.
  • You will get the Merge PDF window. From here, select from the two options - Add Files or Folder.
  • Once the PDF is adde,d click Merge PDF to combine the added PDFs. Give it a name, and you are done.
  • You can specify the page numbers to merge.
  • Using this option, you can merge Word, Image, and other file formats into PDFs. However, when merging other formats, you cannot set the Page Range
  • The Merge PDF by default opens in the product itself.

Yes, you can compress PDF files and reduce their size. To do so follow these steps:
  • Launch Systweak PDF Editor.
  • Click the Compress PDF button under Recommended Tools.

  • The PDF will now open in Systweak PDF Editor.
  • Click the Compress PDF option > choose from the different optimization levels and click the Compress button.

Yes, the PDF editor supports Optical Character Recognition, popularly known as OCR, enabling images or printed text to be translated into machine-readable text. To make scanned PDF files or image-based PDF files searchable, selectable, and editable, you need to perform OCR before converting or editing them.

To edit text and images in PDF as you do in Microsoft Office, you first need to have the registered version of the product. Once you have it, follow these steps:

Edit text

  • Launch Systweak PDF Editor and open the PDF to edit.
  • Click the Edit PDF tab > Edit Content.

  • Dotted blue lines will now surround the content on the page.
  • Click the box where you want to edit content and start editing.

  • If you want to change font color, style, and opacity, you can do it using the options available in the right pane.
  • Once the changes are made, click File > Save As > give a name to the edited document, and you are done.

Add text in PDF

To add text to a PDF, follow these steps:
  • Click the Edit PDF > Add Text button. faq
  • The text will now be surrounded with dotted boxes (Edit mode). Position the cursor where you want to add text and start writing. faq
  • To change the font style, color, size, and opacity, you can use the options given in the right pane.
  • Once the changes are made, save the document to avoid any unforeseen issues.

Edit Images

  • Open the PDF with the image you want to edit.
  • Right-click the image you want to edit. This will open a context menu with different options, select the ones you want to use. You can rotate, flip, crop, replace, cut, copy, and do more. faq
  • After making the changes, save the PDF.

Add Image in PDF

  • To add images to a PDF, open the PDF.
  • Click the Edit tab > Add Image.
  • Select the image you want to add and click Open.
  • The image thumbnail will now be shown. Take the image where you want to place it and left-click the mouse button.
  • The image will now be inserted into the PDF and placed at the location you selected.

Yes, you can password protect your PDF. To add a password, follow these steps:
  • Click the File menu > Open > Select the PDF to which you wish to add a password
  • The PDF will now open in the PDF editor.
  • To add a password, click Secure tab > Protect.
  • In the set password window that you get, enter the password you want to use > confirm it > and click Protect PDF.

💡 Tip: You can set permission restrictions and prevent others from copying, printing, and modifying the PDF. To do so, click Advanced Security when creating a password > set the restrictions > click the Save button > Protect PDF , and that’s it..

  • Select the Output Format, Folder, and Convert Method. You can convert a PDF into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other formats.

  • After selecting the output settings, click the corresponding “Convert To” button (e.g., Convert to Word, Convert to Excel, etc.) to begin the conversion.
  • Wait for the process to finish.

Convert PDF to PDF/A

PDF/A is an ISO-standardized version of the Portable Document Format (PDF) widely used to archive digital documents. PDF/A differs from PDF as it restricts unsuitable features such as font linking (instead of font embedding) and encryption. The ISO requirements for PDF/A file viewers include color management guidelines, support for embedded fonts, and a user interface for reading embedded annotations.

After editing or working with your PDF file in the program, to convert PDF into PDF/A, click Convert > click the down arrow next To Image option and select To PDF/A option.

The PDF file will be successfully saved in the output folder. To access it, use the Open button under the Status tab

Using the above steps, you can convert PDF to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Image, Text, SVG, HTML, XPS, and different formats of PDF/A.

Convert scanned PDFs

  • To convert a scanned PDF first, perform OCR.
  • Open the scanned or image-based PDF file in Systweak PDF Editor and click the Perform OCR button.
  • Let the process finish.
  • Now, to convert the PDF, click the Convert tab> select from the options like To Word, To Excel, and more, and convert the scanned PDF.

Batch convert PDF files

  • To convert multiple PDFs into different formats, click the Convert tab > Batch Convert.
  • In the pop-up window that opens, drag and drop the files to convert or use the Add Files button.
  • Select the Output Format and the Output Folder.
  • You can also set the Convert mode.
  • When done, click the Convert to button, and you will have the converted PDF in the selected format.
